Bali vacation destinations right now? Seminyak is a village in Bali, but it’s packed with things to do. There is a reason why it’s considered a tourist hotspot. It’s just a short distance from the airport, and businesses are close by. It’s also a great place to stop for a break on your vacation. The first thing you should do when you get to Seminyak is figure out how to get around. There are plenty of ways to get around, but the most common is by walking. Another option is a taxi, the Bluebird brand is most common and have meters.Uber is Not an option, Grab is available but cannot operate in all areas. Bali is one of the most evocative places to visit in the entire Indonesian archipelago. A visit here sparks the senses. The intoxicating fragrance of incense and clove oil hangs in the thick tropical air. Peanuts sizzle at roadside stalls, petal-strewn offerings smolder on busy sidewalks, and traditional gamelan music jangles against the buzz of mopeds. Despite the clamor and chaos of the main tourist areas, the island is rich in natural beauty, with attractions for every kind of traveler. Surfers come for the legendary swells, hikers can trek up jungly volcanic peaks to misty waterfalls, and cyclists can bike through lush landscapes bristling with rice terraces and dotted with traditional villages.
Kuta is known as the party capital of Bali and it’s very very westernized. When I first visited years ago, there was no beach shopping mall with designer stores, a range of fabulous beachfront restaurants, no no, and when I visited in 2019, I was actually shocked by just how “not Bali” that Kuta is! But saying that, if you’re craving something more Americanized, or you want to go clubbing, then Kuta is a good place to be. Seminyak is one of the great places to visit in Bali for couples. Seminkyak for me has a little more class and sophistication to it and it’s home to a strip of the best beach bars and restaurants in Bali. It’s probably one of my favourite places in Bali to visit. Seminyak has all you need and it caters wonderfully for vegans!
Bali is known for its flamboyant designers and fabulous shopping, and you’ll find the best examples of Balinese design along the busy streets of Seminyak. Cutting-edge designer fashion, surf and swimwear, jewelry, furniture, and homewares are just some of the items you can buy at the chic shops and busy market stalls here. Top boutiques include Biasa, Magali Pascal, and Bamboo Blonde. Sea Gypsy is a favorite for jewelry, and Drifter Surf Shop & Cafe offers a collection of surf and skateboard gear. The two main shopping malls are Seminyak Square and Seminyak Village, but you’ll probably find better deals in the smaller shops lining the streets. Looking for a real bargain? Head to the Seminyak Flea Markets near Seminyak Square, where you’ll find stalls crammed with clothing, jewelry, carvings, and handicrafts.
Situated about 10 km from Singaraja. The Gitgit waterfalls are also known as Air Tejung Gitgit and they offer a refreshing experience for the visitors. To reach the 40-metre waterfall, visitors will have to traverse along a wooden walkway which leads into a rocky pool. Take a dip in that cool pond before heading over to the nearby Mekalongan waterfall as well. This is a great place to relax and be closer to nature. The water over at the waterfall actually splits into two different streams which also gives the waterfall its another name- Air Terjun Kembar Gitgit or Twin Falls. With black sand spread over an area of 5 miles, Lovina beach is the largest resort area on the north coast of Bali. Encompassing several small villages, it is a welcome break from the hustle of the Southern tourist attractions in Bali. Things to do: Go snorkeling and scuba diving in the calm sea; watch the dolphins; take a spa; visit hot water spring at Banjar Also known as Kintamani volcano, Mount Batur is one of the most dramatic landscape for sightseeing in Bali. With the magnificent view of its a 13 sq km caldera and a beautiful lake which fills the large part of the caldera, it offers a fantastic spectacle to a visitor. Things to do: Visit Pura Ulun Danu Batur; linger around the craters on the mountain; swim in the hot springs; ride a bike through the ancient villages Cant miss: Trek to the peak before sunrise, soak yourself in the beautiful sunrise and have a breakfast of the eggs boiled in the volcano.
