Mathematical indicators were invented at the very beginning of technical analysis, long before the creation of computer charts. The first indicators were just a mathematical formula according to which the price average values were calculated, next, they were plotted as dots in paper price charts and connected with lines. Modern indicators are not very different from those early tools. A modern indicator is also a mathematical formula presented by the software shell that is automatically plotted on the computer price chart.

Dear Candace, I’m up live money today by $265. They were momentum trades more than A trades however they were close to A trades to start and I just picked up on their momentum. For the average investor, day trading can be a daunting proposition because of the number of risks involved. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) highlights some of the risks of day trading, which are summarized below: Be prepared to suffer severe financial losses: Day traders typically suffer severe financial losses in their first months of trading, and many never make a profit. Day trading is an extremely stressful full-time job: Watching dozens of ticker quotes and price fluctuations to spot fleeting market trends demands great concentration. Day traders depend heavily on borrowing money: Day-trading strategies use the leverage of borrowed money to make profits. Many day traders not only lose all of their own money, they wind up in debt. Don’t believe claims of easy profits: Watch out for hot tips and expert advice from newsletters and websites catering to day traders and remember that educational seminars and classes about day trading may not be objective.

Our trading education courses are covering all the major areas, including technical analysis, fundamental analysis, risk management and trading psychology. Furthermore, all the courses are highly interactive and allow you to choose an area of study that would best fit your interests, trading style, assets class and learning objectives. Taking our 1-2-1 trading education course will also let you learn how to trade at your own pace and choose which topics you would like to focus on more extensively, if you find them a little bit harder to understand. This style of learning has proven to be, by far, the most tailored way of learning how to trade.

Hi Candace, I made my first live trade on March 31st. I was getting tired of seeing the inactivity fee coming out of my account every month, so I determined to take a trade in a slow market that I could pop in and out of without a lot of risk. I found this Roberto and though it was close to support, I thought it might also hit support before bouncing back so I pulled the trigger…live!!!! It worked in just a few seconds and I trapped it as soon as I had some green. It was one contract and I made 9 ticks. It was very empowering to realize that I had just made some real money! I had been so hesitant to get in live because my account is so small…and getting smaller with the inactivity fees…but I was getting between the rock and hard place. I had to do something while I still had margin to work with.

There also are some basic rules of day trading that are wise to follow: Pick your trading choices wisely. Plane your entry and exit points in advance and stick to the plan. Identify patterns in the trading activities of your choices in advance. Many day traders end up losing money because they fail to make trades that meet their own criteria. As the saying goes, “Plan the trade and trade the plan.” Success is impossible without discipline. To profit, day traders rely heavily on market volatility. A day trader may find a stock attractive if it moves a lot during the day. That could happen for a number of different reasons, including an earnings report, investor sentiment, or even general economic or company news.

Counter-trending strategy for binary options: Trading on classical trends is beneficial only with a strong and sufficiently long movement, and the boundaries of the price corridor should be close to each other. Such narrow corridors are rarely found in the real market and a different approach is needed. Most of the time price is trending in a fairly wide price range, do not miss such movements. Additionally, the strategy against the trend can give a profit and in a broad flat. Special requirements are imposed on the construction of a price channel, and it does not have to be parallel (for example, when forming a graphic figure of the Converging Triangle). Transactions are opened both when they break away from the borders, and from the middle of the channel in both directions, but the priority trend (if it is available) must also be controlled.

The climb of a trading futures specialist : Candace Pendleton: Day trading can turn into a lucrative career (as long as you do it properly). But it can be challenging for novices—especially those who don’t have a well-planned strategy. And be aware that even the most seasoned day traders can hit rough patches and experience losses. So, what exactly is day trading, and how does it work? Day traders buy and sell stocks or other assets during the trading day in order to profit from the rapid fluctuations in prices. Day trading employs a wide variety of techniques and strategies to capitalize on these perceived market inefficiencies. Day trading is often informed by technical analysis of price movements and requires a high degree of self-discipline and objectivity.
